About the role
***We are seeking an

Arts Specialist Teacher with the skills and abilities to teach The Arts curriculum from P-6.

***As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will: - Proficiency in embedding a wide range of ICLTs across The Arts curriculum would be an advantage

  • Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learnercentred, safe, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
  • Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
  • Demonstrate high levels of flexibility, initiative, cooperation and a preparedness to investigate and adopt contemporary pedagogies in a teambased learning environment
  • Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
  • Have a growth mindset and hands on approach
  • Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
  • Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experienceas well as:

  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff, children, and parents,
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:

  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
