About the role

  • We are seeking an innovative, committed and enthusiastic

Learning Enhancement Officer (Teacher Aide) to join our Learning Enhancement Team to undertake a range of tasks in supporting teachers, and the needs of students, across the curriculum.

  • Duties_
  • Work collaboratively and independently as determined by nature of practice required
  • Engage in effective support processes and practices for Learning Enhancement in keeping with the values and ethos of the College
  • Demonstrate use of equipment, support with the use of assistive technology, and visual representation of teacher instructions
  • Assist students to develop independent learning skills and readiness for learning
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including photocopying, processing documents, binding, laminating, etc.
  • Skills and Experience_
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all faculties and support structures within the College community
  • First Aid Certificate would be an advantageous
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of students including Extension students
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
