Your role will include:

  • managing TMR HR policy framework to support the efficient, effective and responsible management of human resources across the department
- leading a team of HR practitioners in coordinating the review of policies and procedures within the TMR HR policy framework
- leading a team of HR practitioners in developing new policies and procedures that drive and support the strategic direction of the department
- leading a team of HR practitioners to provide consultative advice to managers and employees on human resources policy matters
- providing high level advice to senior management in relation to the development of strategic policy initiatives
- building and sustaining partnerships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders and negotiate outcomes to support the achievement of organisational objectives
- leading the continuous improvement of quality policy processes through working with operational areas to build policy capability and progress strategic issues
- leading the delivery of key strategic HR policy and HR digital projects such as the department's HR Management Delegations, as required
- maintaining the department's HR Management Delegations, including the provision of advice to HR delegates, managers and employees on the authorised delegated authority
- utilising a strong knowledge of contemporary human resource practices to develop well informed, responsive and innovative strategic solutions to all matters relating to HR Governance and Policy
- proactively managing and supervising HR Governance and Policy staff in all aspects of people performance, including recruitment and selection coaching and development, workplace health and safety and role modelling ethical behaviour, and decision making
- managing the HR Governance and Policy team and ensure the performance of team personnel meet the key performance indicators and targets for the team.
This position reports to the Director, Employee Relations and has 2 direct reports.
