About the Team


As part of the Commercial & Supply Chain Function, we plan, source, make, deliver, return, and enable supply chain services to customers across the Engineering & Maintenance Branch and the broader rail industry.


The opportunity
The Electrical Supervisor is based at Homebush.

This is a leadership role supervising the Rail Equipment Centre's electrical section ensuring that production and refurbishment is completed to standards and within budget and meets customer satisfaction within Sydney Trains.


The Supervisor provides a wide range of manufacturing, Electrical/Mechanical engineering-based skills and competencies in relation to pre and post production aspects to review and improve manufacture and refurbishment of selected products to budget.


Responsibilities include:


  • Leading and coaching a team to maintain high standards of staff performance and facilitating the achievement of business objectives
  • Planning and overseeing business processes and production activities including capacity planning
  • Leading the coordination of resources and assets to maximise value and minimise costs
  • Monitoring production to service level agreements and the maintenance of quality system and processes

About you


You will have trade/tertiary qualifications in electrical /electronics to assist with refurbishing and testing of electrical/electronic equipment and any technical oversights with electro-mechanical equipment.

You will have relevant experience managing people, capacity planning and production planning within an engineering, manufacturing, logistics or maintenance environment.

Experience with SAP will also be highly regarded.


Your demonstrated business and financial acumen will see you successfully manage this business' budget and your strong proven management skills will see you build a culture of accountability and continue to lead a high performing team.


Salary and Benefits
RC Grade 4 $88,399 - $101,947 plus super & annual leave loading
