The Team


Sydney Trains' Fleet Maintenance Division's Planning & Resource team are responsible for the planning of maintenance for the diesel and electric passenger fleets for Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink.

The planning encompasses budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling of maintenance, with key operational considerations covering supply chain, labour, service requirements and maintenance facility constraints.


The Opportunity


Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Manager at the Auburn Maintenance Facility, we currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Planning Coordinator to join Sydney Trains on a permanent full-time basis.


The objective of the role is to coordinate the delivery of all Routine Maintenance (RM), Major Periodic Maintenance (MPM) and Heavy Maintenance (HM) activities across all fleets, to ensure production requirements are being achieved.

Prioritise works as required to ensure resources and car availability are aligned with the organisational objectives.


About You

  • 3 years' experience in mobile maintenance planning within rail, transportation, or heavy industry
  • High level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with multidiscipline teams in business
  • High attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • SAP or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
