The purpose of the role of Manager (Corridor Protection Services) is to manage processes and practices to identify and protect infrastructure and planning through a combination of spatial information and IT systems.


Some of your responsibilities will include: - Enable corridor protection through strong governance systems and practices. Enable corridor protection through the identification and protection of TMR's corridor interests, Property Search, Early Acquisition and Land enquiries for the department, ensuring the services meet the needs of the Department. Lead the provision of GIS service to the division, including support to project teams as well as developing and maintaining policies and practices to support development assessment trigger mapping. Lead the technical planning and implementation of system enhancement to support corridor protection, Property Search and Development Assessment, including enhancements to the existing processes, as well as providing reporting to the department and other government agencies as required. Provide specialised technical advice and guidance with regard to corridor protection to senior management and staff to enable them to make informed decisions and undertake effective operations.

To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate the following: - Experience in operational, cross-functional team management providing support to a diverse user base. Knowledge of government practices, spatial concepts & IT systems management to meet the needs of TMR. Attention to detail, strong governance skills, good negotiation skills and a focus on customer satisfaction. Experience in building and developing a strong team environment and a shared sense of supporting the business of TMR.
