The Role:

***We're seeking a highly experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Austral Masonry facility in Oakdale Industrial Estate - Horsley Park, NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for management for site change and processes as well as preventative maintenance to PLC network, SCADA and process control communications systems.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Standardised Work Method Statements.
  • Lead site electrical team including two Electricians and an Apprentice.
  • Scope requirements for change management requests, identify solutions and action with the electrical team.
  • Scope Electrical Project requirements as requested, install, test and commission.
  • Ensure that plant assets are fully maintained to promote efficient operation of equipment.
  • Effectively plan all required maintenance tasks so that any associated downtime is at a minimum.
  • Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify problem areas of plant, review and detail solution proposals.
  • Train and educate maintenance personnel in the areas of PLC Network, SCADA and Process Control Communications Systems.

Success Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate and relevant industry experience.
  • Proven skills in leading and managing a successful team.
  • Strong problem solving and technical faultfinding skills
  • Sound ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans and specifications
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks and ensure quick response to emergency breakdown
  • Working knowledge of MEX CMMS System and IT Networking/Control Systems. (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems including fault finding and process optimisation to drive efficiency (preferred)
