About our Engineering Team

The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards.

They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely.

At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.

About the opportunity


As the Supply Chain Analyst you will be responsible for the oversight and optimisation of the overall inventory footprint, ensuring part availability at key locations meets business objectives, strategy and budget.

You will Develop cost effective and dynamic inventory models, ensuring correct inventory levels are maintained in an effective manner to support Jetstar Australia/NZ and Jetstar Asia fleets.


This role requires an individual that has a strong focus on both strategic and tactical detail and procedures, energetic, highly creative and keen for a challenge with strong communication skills, and sound relationship building skills.

The successful incumbent will have the ability to facilitate & successfully complete activities and assess business requirements for growth and continuous improvement opportunities.

As the Supply Chain Analyst your key responsibilities include:

  • Group Inventory Optimisation
  • Inventory Planning and cost control
  • Station stakeholder focus
  • Customer and supplier liaison
  • System integrity / data analytics / data visualisation and reporting
  • Inventory substitutions
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Prior experience with simplifying large amounts of data from multiple data-sources for business decision making.
  • Prior experience with data preparation, extraction, manipulation/transformation using queries (SQL, PowerBI DAX, PowerQuery)
  • The ability to work alongside endusers to develop tools/dashboards in Excel / PowerBI (or similar datavisualisation solutions) to streamline/simplify supply chain processes.
  • Sound knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, IndexMatch)
  • Sound knowledge of PowerQuery, SQL, PowerBI DAX or similar datavisualisation tools
  • Experience in Purchasing and Component Control
  • Experience in Inventory Management / Optimisation within a Supply Chain environment
  • Component Control Experience with the ability to develop an understanding of Aircraft industry Component Control or Purchasing
