The Service

KU Concord Children's Centre is a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences. This unique service has a playground designed to maximise the use of the natural environment which allows children to play and explore as they would in their own backyard.

Our service has been rated as
Exceeding the National Quality Standard and has a focus on multiculturalism.

We incorporate this into our program through activities such as celebrating cultural events with families and staff and interaction in children's first languages.


The Role


We are looking for an experienced Director with a completed teaching degree to lead the team on a
permanent basis, you will work
Monday to Friday (Thursday & Friday Admin Days), 8 hours per day accruing a monthly rostered day off (RDO) .

Essential Criteria:


  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Previous Directing Experience, minimum 2 years
  • A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children's Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Teacher Accreditation through NESA
  • Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid computer literacy skills as you would be required to work with financial systems
