About the job


An opportunity exists for a customer-focused and passionate Supply Chain professional that will be at the forefront for all our Pacific sales of domestic Non-Metallurgical Alumina (NMA), a high-value product that plays an important role in a low-carbon future and aligns with Alcoa's commitment to advancing sustainably.


Reporting directly into our Pacific Supply Chain Manager, in this role you will be supporting with internal processes and external suppliers, achieving optimal outcomes by addressing customers queries with effective negotiation and coordination of transport and product allocation.

In this role, your key activities and core contributions will be:

  • Coordinating domestic NMA requirements on a weekly basis, from loading at our Kwinana Refinery to customer delivery, including daily interaction with ports.
  • Building and owning all domestic NMA load and delivery schedules providing excellent supply chain management.
  • Managing and maintaining all controls including reporting from suppliers and troubleshooting of logĂ­stical issues.
  • Interpreting customer product requirements and delivery expectations and liaising with production and transportation to satisfy customer requests.
  • Monthend reporting and financial forecasting.
About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Logistics will be considered highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a freight forwarding or exporting environment or with relevant knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Strong time management and ability to balance priorities and schedule effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • An eye for detail, is a quick learner, team player but also capable of working autonomously.
  • Strong drive to improve processes and optimise service to achieve best practice.
  • Flexibility to attend calls outside of normal business hours where required along with taking part in global team meetings.
