  • Anglo American Steelmaking Coal**Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blastfurnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description:


  • You will be organised, collaborative and efficient, with the ability to prevent problems before they arise. This is a Brisbane officebased position that requires a high degree of autonomy, efficiency and professionalism.
The role will support the Executive Head of Operations and will involve the following:

  • Undertake, and support, business improvement projects in the operations team.
  • Answer incoming calls, maintain filing and archiving systems, coordinate courier bookings, mail, travel arrangements.
  • Undertake and manage data input and processing with respect to purchase orders, invoicing and contracts.
  • Financial tasks including reconciling credit cards and travel expenses, managing team expense claims, manage project approvals, budget requests and reallocations.
  • Preparing, coordinating, and distributing documents, reports, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactively identify business improvement processes and be an advocate for supporting business change.

Qualifications:


  • We are looking for a selfstarter Someone who can come in and hit the ground running, is extremely proactive and can use their initiative to take on tasks before they are asked to.
To be successful in this position you will have experience in the following:

  • Successful track record working as an Executive Assistant/Team Administrator in the Resources industry or with technical professionals is essential.
  • Be a strong team player and able to work across different initiatives.
  • High level of demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Be friendly, positive and proud of their performance and work ethic.
  • Be articulate, accurate and exhibit a very high attention to details.
  • Maintain a focus on growth and continuous improvement.
  • Be excited to work in an empowered environment and driven to deliver outstanding service, internally and externally.
  • Enjoy being process driven and dedicated to the success of our company and clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in collating reports and other documentation.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
