We are seeking an expert Digital Designer to step into a Lead the way in delivering outstanding digital campaigns with a strong emphasis on inclusive design principles. You will provide design leadership not only within your team but also throughout the broader Optus organisation.

Visual Design: Your main responsibility is to lead all aspects of the delivery of new product releases and campaign rollouts across all digital channels while ensuring they align with the brand's identity and overall marketing objectives.

Digital Hub Operating Model: You will also play a crucial role in establishing an effective and efficient operating model that upholds high standards of digital design.

Multi-functional Collaboration: You'll closely work with Optus Design community Marketing teams, Product Managers, Tribe Leads, the Digital Sales chapter, marketing agencies, and other business partners to ensure the seamless execution of digital design projects.

Influence and Communication: As the go-to person for digital design delivery, you'll need to effectively communicate design concepts and the reasoning behind them to various teams at various levels, including executives and team members.

Design Leadership: Your role includes leading and managing an effective team of designers, setting the bar for digital design excellence within the team.

Team Management: Besides leading, you'll also coordinate the recruitment, personal development, and performance cycles of one to three Digital Designers. You'll actively mentor and guide them to help them excel in their respective domain skills.

It starts with you

Substantial hands on experience in managing digital design projects from start to finish, underpinned by a relevant professional qualification in Design, Mixed Media or related field.

Proven track record in digital design with extensive portfolio highlighting your expertise in digital design, illustrating your ability to deliver outstanding results across various platforms and devices.

Solid command of visual design principles, including a solid grasp of composition, layout, information hierarchy, typography, colour theory, and other crucial design principles.

Proficiency in design tools in using design software like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Supportive leadership and team management skills that allow to resource effectively and consider your team members' skills and project requirements.

Good project management skills to supervise and track the progress of multiple design projects concurrently, ensuring they meet business outcomes and quality standards.

Experience in streamlining design workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Effective communication skills and ability to work with various business partners, gathering requirements, and articulating design solutions effectively.

Familiarity with the best methodologies in digital accessibility with a focus on esuring inclusivity.
