About the Role
The role plays a pivotal part within the Health Protection team in the delivery of statutory services. The role requires excellent communication skills to liaise across various stakeholders in the community.

Undertake inspections of premises to ensure that all fittings and processes are in accordance with relevant Acts, Codes and Guidelines.
Undertake investigations into outbreaks of gastroenteritis at high risk premises.
Complete investigations and determine any required further action with amenity based complaints.
Document and maintain accurate records of inspections.
Liaise within the Health Protection Unit and other council business units as required

Skills & Experience

Degree or Diploma of Health Science (Public & Environmental Health) or equivalent with relevant work experience.
The incumbent should be eligible to be a member of the Environmental Health Professionals Australia.
Demonstrated recent experience in this role, preferably in a local government environment.
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Computer proficiency in Open Office Health Manager
Mobile Health and the ability to complete work in a digital environment.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with mínimal supervision
Current drivers licence, Working with Childrens' check and police check
