Be an integral part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Spiritual and Pastoral care team.

  • The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria's largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, subacute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
  • An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and motivated Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Imaging Department.

Your new role:


  • Provide Spiritual/Pastoral care to a wide range of inpatients, and their families and carers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in providing holistic care
  • Collaborate with team in providing rituals, including Memorial services
  • Be involved in organisational education and research.

About you:


  • You have acute hospital experience with a collaborative working style
  • Advanced Certificate Clinical Pastoral Education (or equivalent)
  • Active spiritual practice
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional development
  • Multifaith and multicultural sensitivity
  • Computer literacy (you will be trained to use EPIC Electronic Medical Record)
  • Membership of Spiritual Care Australia (or eligibility)
