As the
Head of Operations Services, you will lead a multi-disciplinary business unit responsible for provision of state-wide operational resources supporting the delivery, operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, drainage networks and treatment assets.

Providing inspirational, visible leadership, you will foster an environment that further develops operational service capability bringing new or improved methods in key functional areas now and into the future.

You will lead the delivery of the Business Unit strategic plan through leaders and teams that are high performing and customer focussed while supporting the development of internal talent to become next generation leaders and technical experts.

As a key member of Operations leadership team, you will work collaboratively to support core business and contribute to the delivery of the group plan and corporate strategy to drive greater value for our customers and community.

Key Accountabilities

Leading the business unit in the provision of critical services including bushfire mitigation, metering, commercial and industrial services and project and construction management of the Group's minor projects portfolio
Influence, champion and challenge the safety culture to improve safety outcomes
Drive delivery, high performance, and service excellence to optimise Business Unit financial, operational, and organisational performance
Develop systems and processes to ensure Operations Services meet legislative and regulatory requirements
Build and maintain internal and external relationships for the purpose of delivering effective business outcomes and promoting collaboration

Skills & Experience

You have considerable experience in a leadership role involving change management accountability, driving organisational excellence, and developing effective teams to achieve improved outcomes.

A strategic mind and future thinking mindset is essential, along with the ability to influence and drive latest thinking using your knowledge of emerging trends.

Experience in developing and enhancing internal and external stakeholder relationships will be key to this role.

Ideally you will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as engineering or business, you'll also have experience leading and delivering project management works in a large organisation.
