Our client, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organisation, are seeking a experienced Portfolio Governance Manager to play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction for the establishment of an Agile project portfolio management Centre of Excellence.

You will be responsible for managing governance across a divisional portfolio of projects, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic capability transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) governance framework, establishing a leanagile portfolio management office / COE in alignment with industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and project managers to define, prioritize, and develop projects in line with strategic business and technology objectives.
  • Champion project, program, and portfolio management best practices, providing training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure adherence to mandated project delivery and governance processes.
  • Implement and maintain regular and consistent status tracking and other project control mechanisms, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across the portfolio.
  • Design and deliver a change and communications strategy to ensure the successful adoption of leanagile ePMO practices and the agreed PPM platform.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and process reform to ensure highquality customerfocused delivery across the major projects' portfolio.
  • Oversee and manage highrisk, highprofile, and highvisibility strategic transformation projects as required.

Key skills:


  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in technology, business, management or related equivalent discipline
  • Leadership experience in handson strategic IT portfolio, PMO, or Centre of Excellence design and management.
  • Formal portfolio management qualifications.
  • Demonstrable experience in the leadership of delivering digital information systems services across portfolios.
  • Ability to assume strategic project / product management and product ownership responsibility for enterprisewide PPM systems and tooling implementation.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks independently and competing priorities efficiently
  • Business transformation and design, with an ability to lead strategic development, planning, implementation and evaluation as part of major transformational change initiative.
