    Description

    This position is a role that focuses on supporting and supplying data and data services to corporate applications for a range of policing activities. It also involves supporting GIS platforms and maintaining GIS services. More specifically you will be part of a team that contributes to officer safety, 000 dispatch, disaster management, reporting, police investigations and police operations which is greatly rewarding and engaging.

    You will be part of a trusted and experienced team designing reference data to support multiple business groups and work with the latest cloud technologies.

    The core capability requirements for this role are:


    • Develop technical solutions using thorough data analysis skills to identify, monitor and resolve data quality challenges

    • Develop domain knowledge of QPS business and information systems to provide expert advice in the development and evaluation of data management solutions, methods and practices

    • Provide timely and accurate estimates for new business activities

    • Undertake skills transfer as required and successfully transition deliverables to internal and external support groups

    • Develop spatial data and spatial visualisations for a range of corporate applications using a variety of GIS components

    Role Requirement

    Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience


    • Highly Desirable

    • Database design and data modelling

    • Data profiling, matching & consolidation

    • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or higher

    • Expert knowledge of TSQL and ETL

    • Spatial Data Management

    Desirable


    • Knowledge of GIS technologies

    • Experienced in the use of programming languages such as .Net, Amazon Web Services, Azure Dev Ops
