We are establishing a 24 month open pool for permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.

About the role
We are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in fitting and machining to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area.

The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible for employment you must hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Fitter Machinist).

NM TAFE prefers lecturers to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

This is an open recruitment pool and as such the following should be noted:

The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applicants and will assess on a regular basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in the pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 31 December 2024.

If you are successful, during the life of the pool you may be offered appointment to similar & subsequent vacancies within the College, within other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to your permission being granted).

Eligibility for employment is subject to you obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance and, if this position involves contact with children, a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment you must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
