Job Description:


The vision of Commercial operations at Gilead is to drive operational excellence by delivering innovative capabilities that enable ANZ teams to achieve competitive advantage and unmatched customer experience.

Reporting to the Commercial Operations Senior Director, the Oncology Learning & Development Associate Director will serve a critical role within the Commercial organization.

They will be accountable for setting the short and long-term vision to advance Oncology and Cell Therapy Learning and Development.

They will assess and identify development opportunities and training needs. They will also lead the effective implementing of curriculums for enhancing selling competencies across the Business Units.

They will partner with relevant internal departments, including field and Head office leadership, marketing, market access, commercial operations, medical affairs, legal, and HR.


Key RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of rolespecific learning journeys for field facing and marketing commercial roles

This includes:

  • Onboarding the new employee from their start date to 12 months.
  • Ongoing maintenance of onboarding learning pathways and liaising with the instructional designer to maintain up to date learning assets in learning platforms.
  • Managing the sales certification process for both onboarding and annual certification of existing sales team members.
  • Oversee on line assessment for new sales team members at the completion of onboarding and for new product launches.
  • Ongoing competency development.
  • Initial training for New product launches.
  • Partnering with the Sales AD and BUD on delivery of BU offsites and conferences to support capability development.
  • Integrating new material (eg from launch) into the existing onboarding program.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships with Global Commercial learning and development teams to ensure knowledge and access to global learning material.
  • Manage local stakeholder relationships with commercial, medical and business conduct stakeholders.
  • Manage the local approvals process to align global learning materials to local market needs and requirements.
  • Work in partnership with Business Units to develop and execute the learning development Plan for Oncology/Cell Therapy, including budgeting and resourcing needs.
  • Liaise with the CL&D AD for Virology and other commercial operations stakeholders to ensure alignment of L&D programs across Bus.
  • Prepare, lead and administer learning needs analysis in collaboration with the business to clearly understand and define the gaps in skills and knowledge, using key inputs from field research, market research, assessments and certification.
  • Prioritise learning needs into focused action plans, including the flow into individual objective planning.
  • Ensure learning material is in place for new products and indications, primarily based on global learning that is customised to suit local needs and Australian clinical practice.
  • Review and update training programs and materials based on evaluations and stakeholder feedback to deliver fitforpurpose learning solutions in the context of legislative, regulatory and operational requirements
  • Attain competency to train Global L&D programs by attending global Train the Trainer sessions or equivalent


Minimum Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, and/ or Bachelor's Degree in Science- Minimum 3 years Pharmaceutical sales experience.

- Minimum 3 years experience in a learning & development role preferably in the pharmaceutical industry- Qualifications in learning and development eg Certificate 4 TAA, diploma level or above in Adult learning or equivalent on
