About the Role


This is a newly created role at Development Victoria and a great opportunity to partner with the IT leadership team and broader IT department to drive effective governance practices, continuous improvement, risk management and stakeholder collaboration in the IT function.


About You

  • Significant experience in IT Operating model design and implementation
  • Familiarity with IT policies and procedures
  • Workflow, task management and project portfolio solutions
  • Daytoday IT/process business analysis experience
  • Continuous improvement project/program experience (may include Lean or similar)
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Report writing, data visualisation and analysis skills
  • Customer and processcentric approach
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology or like field

Key Responsibility

  • Establish and maintain effective IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate IT risks, implementing controls and measures to ensure data security, privacy, and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, executive management, and external partners, to establish effective communication channels, gather feedback, and drive consensus on IT governance and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies through regular audits, assessments, and controls. Take appropriate actions to address any noncompliance issues.

  • Manage IT audits, assessment and compliance activities to ensure adherence to industry standards and better practices.
  • Ensuring risk management protocols are in place and compliance to policies
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for IT governance and improvement, providing regular reports to stakeholders and senior management on progress, issues, and achievements.
