We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.


About the role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:


  • Collection of blood and other samples from patients
  • Packaging and dispatching of specimens
  • Greeting patients and assisting with appointments and requests
  • Receiving and receipting of patient account payments
  • Providing advice on special requirements, preparation and instructions for tests
  • Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes

About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • An outstanding patient and customer focus
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • A willingness and confidence to work independently in a solo clinic
  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B and Covid19 are a requirement of this role
  • A current full unrestricted driver licence may be required
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Cert III in Pathology would be advantageous

Training
All of our new Pathology Collector positions will receive full training upon commencement.
