Overview.**:

Our client is a leader within the commercial space in Brisbane. They are looking to engage a Third Party Risk specialist for an initial 6-month contract.

Responsibilities.**:


  • Lead and support the team to develop frameworks, processes, roadmap and tools to improve enterprise third party risk framework (focussing on cyber risk maturity)
  • Lead and own the management and mitigation of risks associated with audit activities, the provision of quality, customerfocused operation change management, and work with the procurement and business leads to identify initiatives to produce tangible benefits and mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain processes associated with cyber security governance and oversee adoption of these processes by business units.
  • Develop and maintain formal metrics to assess the effectiveness of cyber security controls and the cyber security operations through agreed Third Party Rick Management, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the management of optimisation initiatives and identification of priorities to implement cyber risk mitigation improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal management system requirements, responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of improvement activities utilising the enterprise specified change and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Drive and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal and external clients at a middle management level to ensure improvement initiatives are in keeping with wider business objectives.

Skills required.**:


  • Experience in establishing governance practices to achieve compliance with well recognised standards or frameworks
  • Experience in cyber security consulting and policy development.
  • Experience in facilitating threat and risk assessments, developing roadmaps, and delivering improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management practices
  • High level skills in defining and articulating complex business problems, related opportunities and formulated evidencebased value propositions which accelerate business transformation and meet business objectives.
  • Relevant tertiary degree
  • Strong experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance disciplines (mandatory).
  • Project management qualification/s (preferred)
  • Experience as a Third-Party Governance, Risk, and Compliance consultant at a Tier 1 or 2 professional services firm. (preferred)
