About the role


In this position you will work as part of a cohesive team, undertaking general catering duties for the provision of high quality catering services.


Daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists in the preparation, cooking, dispatching and serving of all types of meals
for residents, visitors and functions, ensuring a high standard of food and
service whilst observing safety, quality and hygiene standards.

  • Undertakes general kitchen duties.
  • Follow Food Safety and HACCP standards and Southern Cross Care policies and
procedures.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in
collaboration with the Chef / Cook.

  • Accurately maintains relevant records related to the catering services including
the monitoring and recording of temperatures.

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.

  • Experience in the preparation, delivery and serving of meals.
  • Adequate communication skills and a good level of English literacy.
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Able to build strong internal relationships and contribute to the team to foster positive working relationships.
  • Barista experience preferred, but not essential.
