Our Enterprise Risk team plays a critical role in helping PwC to identify and manage risks to achieving our Firm's strategy and purpose.

We deliver both the uplift required from Firmwide Risk itself, but also in Risk's contribution to firm wide transformation, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions and teams.

We are looking for a team member to help take our team capability to the next level in risk management and oversight of AI, as we play our critical role involving overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology and operational risks within PwC Australia within our vast community of solvers.

As the AI Risk Policy Review Lead, you will play a crucial role in assessing the potential risks associated with AI technologies and ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that mitigate risks and foster responsible AI deployment.


In our Enterprise Risk team, you'll also:

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential ethical, legal, and societal implications of AI technologies.
  • Governance: Review governance arrangements and ensure they reflect the risks of the proposed use of AI
  • Best Practice: Stay uptodate on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to AI governance and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business, legal, compliance, and ethics teams to ensure that AI risk policies align with regulatory requirements and ethical principles.
  • Risk Mitigation: Work closely with AI development teams to incorporate risk mitigation measures into the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain documentation related to AI risk policies, including risk assessment reports, policy documents, and training materials.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on AI risk management practices and compliance requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of AI risk policies and procedures, making recommendations for enhancements and updates as needed.
  • Relevant Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Master's degree in policy development, computer science, data science, business, law, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Strong understanding of ethical principles and regulatory frameworks governing AI development and deployment
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in policy development and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience in policy analysis, risk management, or compliance roles, particularly in the technology or AI industry.
  • Knowledge of AI ethics frameworks and methodologies for assessing AI risks and impacts.
  • Previous experience working with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Certification or training in AI ethics, compliance, or risk management practices.
