The Commercial Manager - Flow Meters at Macnaught is a dynamic leadership role responsible for driving the sales, marketing and product management activities for the company's cutting-edge metering product line.

This includes developing and implementing innovative sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, conducting in-depth market analysis, supporting a high-performing sales team, and effectively managing channels to market.

The Commercial Manager - Flow Meters will play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth of the metering business by identifying new market opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving customer-centric initiatives to maintain Macnaught's competitive edge in the industry.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the metering product line, incorporating Go-to-Market (GTM) model, market segmentation, competitive analysis, and product differentiation.

Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities, develop sales plans, and set aggressive sales targets. Collaborate with the sales team to drive customer engagement, negotiate contracts, and close deals. Continuously monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and provide strategic insights to optimize sales strategies and exceed sales targets.

Channel Management:
Develop and manage relationships with channel partners, including distributors, dealers, and other sales intermediaries. Set clear expectations, provide training and support, and establish performance metrics to ensure effective channel management.

Develop channel-specific sales and marketing plans to drive sales growth, enhance brand visibility, and support channel partners in achieving their sales targets.

Conduct regular performance evaluations of channel partners and take appropriate actions to improve performance and maintain strong partnerships.

Customer Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, including distributors, OEMs, and end-users. Understand customer needs, pain points, and business challenges, and provide tailored solutions to address them. Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and negotiations to deepen customer loyalty, gain market share, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical expertise and outstanding customer service.

Market Analysis and Strategic Planning:

Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.

Develop strategic plans to penetrate new markets, expand existing markets, and stay ahead of competitors.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Marketing, and Operations, to align product strategies, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans with market dynamics and customer requirements.


Team Support, Leadership and Development:

Provide inspirational leadership to the sales team, setting clear expectations, providing coaching and mentoring, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Develop and motivate the team to achieve individual and team targets, provide ongoing training and development opportunities, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.


Marketing and Brand Promotion:

Develop and implement innovative marketing plans and promotional initiatives to enhance brand visibility, generate demand, and accelerate sales growth for the metering product line.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling marketing materials, digital campaigns, and participate in industry events and trade shows.

Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs, measure ROI, and optimize marketing strategies based on data-driven insights.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to provide timely and accurate information to the leadership team. Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze sales data, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize sales strategies. Prepare regular sales reports and dashboards to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and communicate results to senior management.
