    Davidson Technology have teamed up with a reputiable Victorian Utilities organisation to help them find their next Cloud Services and Hosting Lead.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a full time permanent opportunity within an orgasniation that truly values their emplyees growth.

    The opportunity:

    Cloud Services and Hosting Lead is accountable for the availability and compliance of server (on prem and in the cloud), storage, database and cloud platform services working with support personnel (internal and external) owning the lifecycle management, security and access control and transition of new services into support and ensuring the infrastructure is at supported levels, in accordance with business requirements. This role ensures a reliable and highly available cloud and hosting service for the business.

    *Vendor management will be of high importance for this role, previous experience with vendor management will be a must have*

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Delivery of operational day-to-day of the server, storage, cloud platform and database services to the business.
    • Act as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor with key business stakeholders (internal and external) relating to cloud and hosting services.
    • Cloud services and hosting availability including involvement in incidents (during and after business hours).
    • Ensuring ITIL compliance for cloud and hosting services e.g change approvals, incident, problem and asset management.
    • Managed service provider and vendor operational governance.
    • Development and compliance with standards and procedures including security patching, audit, risk actions.
    • Involvement and compliance with commercial and procurement processes where required.
    • Involvement and compliance with Disaster recovery & business continuity testing and events.
    • Managing hardware and software lifecycle to ensure they are at supported levels.
    • Involvement in service improvement opportunities.

    The Technical Skills:

    • Experience in cloud platform technology– e.g Azure, AWS
    • Experience in server hardware and operating systems technology – Cisco UCS, HPE, Microsoft OS, Linux
    • Experience in database technology e.g SQL, Oracle
    • Experience with backup and storage solutions
    • Understanding of monitoring technology e.g ScienceLogic, Solarwinds
