About the NSW Crime Commission:
The NSW Crime Commission is established to investigate and disrupt organised crime and other serious criminal activity and to pursue confiscation of the proceeds of crime. Responsibility for conducting financial investigations falls with the Commission's Financial Investigations Division (FID). The FID is responsible for tracing the proceeds of crime and identifying assets held by, or on behalf of, those suspected of criminal misconduct. This includes proceeds and assets that have been the subject of money laundering and other efforts to hide them.

About the role
The Commission is seeking applications from enthusiastic, qualified and experienced individuals interested in a challenging opportunity to form part of a specialist financial investigations team. The Senior Forensic Accountant will be responsible for managing concurrent confiscation matters involving serious and complex financial structures which are more likely to progress to full litigation. These complex matters must be managed in accordance with relevant legislation, accounting standards and Commission policies and procedures. You will be responsible for providing high level forensic accounting advice, input into multi-disciplinary team investigations, including participating in the planning of investigations, conducting and oversighting financial aspects of these investigations and identifying systemic problems and risks and additional potential targets for confiscation. The Senior Forensic Accountant also provides assistance, support and guidance to colleagues in all aspects of financial investigations.
If you havedegree qualifications and/or relevant experience in the forensic accounting field or another relevant discipline and can demonstrate substantial experience as a forensic accountant or financial investigator with a proven track record recovering proceeds of crime and/or investigating income or other tax evasion, insolvency etc., this may be the career challenge that takes you to the next level.
