About the role:

We're on the hunt for a Group Sales Manager to join our TV Sales team based in Sydney.

The purpose of the Group Sales Manager is to devise and implement strategies to maintain and improve the SCA's customer focused environment with sales and creative staff.


This role will maximise revenue potential and achieving station revenue budgets by providing strong leadership and management to the team.


What you'll be doing:


  • Set, implement and communicate direction for the team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, employees within the station and key accounts / agencies
  • Maintain a cohesive team by providing appropriate reward and recognition for all members of the team
  • Develop and grow media sales executives including ensuring regular individual training and in field coaching;
  • Ensure structured and inspirational meetings are conducted on a regular basis
  • Monitor and provide feedback on performance throughout the year and through the annual appraisal process
  • Prepare revenue projection reports and lost business reports
  • Develop strategies with team to ensure a market share is delivered upon and a positive power ratio is delivered
  • Ensure customer needs analysis and problem solving is used effectively and customer focused proposals are prepared using customer focused selling templates
  • Assist in the development of business and strategy plans to increase client retention and new business
  • Be a market leader in Boomtown and the Regional TV Market
  • Ongoing and proactive recruitment of staff using talent focused management procedures
  • Find creative ideas to enable the Group to provide outstanding customer service

Experience we're looking for:


  • 510 years' customer focused background essential
years' Southern Cross Austereo sales experience desired
years' successful sales / management experience desired

  • Local and interstate market knowledge desired
