We currently have a fantastic opportunity at Wyong Hospital Cafe for a dynamic and outgoing Catering Assistant, who is passionate about customer service and providing the best overall experience in a Café / Staff cafeteria setting.

Your goal will be to provide fast, friendly service and work with a small team to provide an excellent customer experience.

You will be required to support in food preparation and service as required, make espresso coffees, operate the POS system and keep a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.


This is a Part-Time position with varied shifts from Monday to Sunday, between the hours 6.00am - 7.30pm at the Wyong hospital Cafe.


You will be responsible for:


  • Preparing sandwiches.
  • Espresso machine coffee making.
  • Operate the POS System.
  • Following a cleaning plan to ensure all cleaning and sanitising is maintained.
  • Managing stock rotation to minimise wastage.
  • Ensuring all safety, hygiene and food presentation is maintained to a high quality.

To hit the ground running you will demonstrate:

  • A proven ability to deliver quality and friendly customer service.
  • Basic Coffee Knowledge and the ability to Operate a POS system (training provided).
  • Teamwork and customer relationship skills.
  • Constructive behaviours that are a positive example to others.
  • Ability to multi as part of a team.
  • High standards of food and occupational safety and hygiene.
  • Have completed a food handlers course.
