About the role

Ventia's Defence Base Services (DBS) team are seeking to engage an experienced
Food & Beverage Utility. This ongoing casual position will see you based at Campbell Barracks, Swanbourne.

This role will see you working a variety of shifts over a seven day roster period.

Key duties, but not limited to

Clean, sanitise and maintain equipment, furniture and premises
Ensure all required repairs, hazards and maintenance are reported
Wash all crockery, cutlery and glassware after each service
Support stock management initiatives, including stock rotation, review of labels and used by dates, loading and unloading supplies, restocking consumables, and assist with stock take activities
Examine all Mess signage and notice boards daily, ensuring current information is displayed
Participate in team meetings and toolbox talks, and offer suggestions for improvement to operations, safety or service where appropriate
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Food and Beverage Supervisor

Skills & experience

Prior experience delivering food and beverage services is desirable
Knowledge or understanding of Defence Force operations, systems and functions is desirable
Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability work in a team
An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders

Other special conditions

Must be an Australian Citizen, to obtain a Department of Defence Security Clearance
This position requires a National Police Clearance Check
Travel may be required on occasion between Defence Bases
