    ARV aims to enhance the resorts' economic resilience and long-term sustainability, driving industry collaboration and acting as a unified voice of the sector.

    The alpine sector significantly contributes to regional economies, attracting millions of visitors and sustaining thousands of jobs

    Role Purpose :
    As the Events Supervisor, you will play a central role in the creation, delivery and management of key events, activities and guest services in Falls Creek Alpine Resort to support the Marketing Strategy and resort objectives

    Key Accountabilities:
    Facilitate both external events and coordinate the delivery of resort-based events.

    Manage & coordinate the Falls Creek events calendar, including liaison with event organisers, accommodation requirements, bump in/out, communication, signage plans, promotion, development of or review of Event & Risk Management Plans, permit and authority applications and post event reporting.

    Supervise event operational staff.

    Manage all third-party providers, including but not limited to equipment hire, timing, including development of contract terms and conditions and invoicing.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Manage & coordinate the Resorts events calendar, including liaison with event organisers, accommodation requirements, bump in/out, communication, signage plans, promotion, development of or review of Event & Risk Management Plans, permit and authority applications and post event reporting.

    Supervise the event operational support staff.

    Manage all third-party providers, including but not limited to equipment hire, timing, including development of contract terms and conditions and invoicing.

    Support Marketing & Communications teams with event and product development, partnership and media opportunities.
    Support the Marketing & Communications teams in the delivery of the Resort Management Marketing Strategy.
    Lead in the development and delivery of the Event's component of the Resort Management Marketing Strategy.
    Recruit and manage an engaged network of volunteers for various event support roles such as marshalling.
    Provide support to coordinate additional activities to improve year-round visitation to the Resort such as tours, activities and activations.
    Provide support to the Visitor Information Centre, Resort Entry and administration services as required.
    Effective planning and management of projects using relevant computer based or online systems.
    Work independently during manager's absence and keep your manager informed of any issues.
    Provide a high-level of customer services and support the provision of information and advice to visitors, stakeholders and colleagues.

    Implement and facilitate the achievement of outcomes in accordance with ARV practices including financial/human resource delegations and relevant legislation on Occupational Safety & Health and Equal Opportunity.

    Use initiative, research, analytical and organisational skills, interpersonal and communication skills to achieve effective outcomes.
    Demonstrate leadership by adopting a solution-focused mindset and consistently acting in the best interests of Alpine Resorts Victoria.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Qualities:
    Strong event management skills and demonstrated experience in event management.
    Well-honed time and project management skills for working on multiple projects with competing deadlines.

    Strong communicator (written and verbal) with ability to adapt communication to a range of stakeholders (internal and external) and suppliers.

    Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, self-motivation and professionalism.

    Work style characterised with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating self-motivation, adaptability, exercising initiative and working flexibly.

    Physically able to undertake a range of manual handling tasks and outdoor operational roles for extended periods of time during event periods.

    This will occur in all alpine weather conditions.

    Proficiency in the use of administration software and technology (Microsoft Office Suite), (or similar) and/or is willing to learn new applications.

    Team player – works to build a supportive and cooperative team environment, engages other teams to share information to respond to issues.

    Work style characterised by a positive, professional approach that develops and empowers staff with a focus on accountability, initiative and service improvement.

    Resourceful in resolving issues by assessing situations and identifying solutions.

    Qualifications and Experience:
    Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience in event management and/or event management oversight role or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

    Proven ability to manage the entire project lifecycle of events from conception to completion, through a high level of planning, on time and within budget.

    Sound experience in preparing and implement emergency and contingency plans as relating to events, particularly in the field of outdoor events.

    Proven experience and success in monitoring and completing compliance reporting that is subject to rigorous audit processes.
    Degree in relevant field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience (mandatory)
    A current Victorian driver's licence
