ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Service Technician that specialises in Water Treatment Services with a proven track record in achieving results in a similar position, is comfortable working remotely and frequently in isolation.

The Water Treatment Service Technician is responsible for the cyclic maintenance and repair of water treatment systems in remote locations throughout the Kimberley region.

This position will form part of a small, highly skilled team who are responsible for ensuring systems maintain water quality pursuant with contract obligations and compliant with ADWG requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role (but not limited to):

Effectively operate, maintain and repair potable water treatment chlorination systems (inclusive of liquified chlorine gas systems)
Effectively operate, maintain and repair water filtration systems
Respond to unplanned emergency repairs.
Capacity to diagnose faults and causes of malfunction.
Prepare and maintain logbooks, record keeping and reporting as required by Water Quality Supervisor

To be considered you must have the following:

Your ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity, and safe work practices together with your positive mindset in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.

Minimum 2 years' experience in water treatment industry (_Essential)_
Relevant Trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, or plumbing)
Minimum C class driver's licence (LR preferrable)
Capacity to work in remote location, inclusive of driving on remote unsealed roads.
Experience with operation and maintenance of chemical dosing, pumps, motors, control systems, SCADA
Experience in water sample collection and infield testing
Experience in water supply / system remediation
SCBA qualification (_preferred_)
Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) qualification
Chlorine specific training

Location

The role will operate on a Drive In / Drive out roster basis from Broome to remote Aboriginal Communities in the Kimberley.

Accommodation is provided by the Company when travelling for work purposes along with an overnight allowance and a fully equipped vehicle.
