    Description

    Are you passionate about intellectual property and looking to kick-start your career in the legal field? If so, we're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Patent Assistant to join this dynamic team

    Our client, a leader in their industry, is seeking a self-motivated individual with proven experience in administration within a deadline-driven environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist patent attorneys and agents in drafting, filing, and managing patent applications;
    • Conduct prior art searches to assess the novelty and patentability of inventions;
    • Coordinate communication between clients, patent examiners, and internal stakeholders;
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patent files, databases, and records; and
    • Provide general administrative support to the patent team as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science, or a related discipline);
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software applications;
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
    • Prior experience in patent law or intellectual property is preferred but not required.
