We are recruiting a

Director of Nursing / Facility Manager for Small Sized facility located near Hansdorf, SA


Short term contract to manage a 80 bed facility for 6 months
The facility has a highly experienced Deputy Manager and 24 hour clinical staff.


For this role you will be an energetic leader with the ability to drive excellent service delivery across the service.


About you:


  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Natural leader and problem solver with the ability to maintain the crucial balance between service and clinical care
  • Be proactive and willing to initiate new and fresh processes that will attract new residents and their families to the facility
  • Nursing qualification with experience in a management capacity in residential aged care
  • Strong skill in clinical assessment and care/services coordination
  • Ability to form sound relationships with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability in leading teams with the ability to create and maintain an efficient team culture within the Facility
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement strategies & sound knowledge of the latest accreditation standards
  • Positive attitude and a real passion to work within Aged Care

The role:

You will be responsible for leading a team of R/N's and carers and your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage compliance to the Aged Care Legislation and Accreditation Standard and other relevant standard/regulatory requirements
  • Respond to any nursingrelated issues in a timely manner
  • Handle complaints and attain feedback from carers
  • Working closely with your leadership team and frontline staff to ensure a positive, friendly, helpful and effective culture
  • Staff rostering and signing off weekly payroll timesheets
  • Interacting with the residents and their families daily
  • Ensure compliance with all WHS processes
