We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, customer service focussed Medical Receptionist to provide friendly and efficient support to the AHP Aged Care - Podiatry and Physiotherapy teams

About the role

The role of our Medical Receptionist is of key importance to the smooth running of the practice and care of its patients.

The successful person will be working around a busy team environment and is responsible for the following:

Front desk reception duties including 'meet and greet' & registration of patients
Data entry of billing information
Identify and investigate discrepancies, process payments & adjustments from Medicare
Knowledge of item codes for Private Health Funds in relation to Podiatry & Physiotherapy
Appointment booking, rescheduling, cancelling, and follow ups
Invoicing and receipting for patients
Accurate recording of confidential patient information
Ad hoc administrative duties as required

About you

Previous experience in a multidisciplinary medical practice
Exceptional communication skills
Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft office suite
Competency in Medical Software and an understanding of Medical Terminology (Coreplus experience preferred, but not essential)
A sound knowledge of Medicare billings and referral processes
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Ability to work under pressure and multitask with a high attention to detail
Motivated with excellent problemsolving skills
