The Role


The role will support Payroll processing activities across the ABN Group of companies as well as assisting the Compliance Lead in ensuring adherence to latest payroll legislation, payment of payroll tax, superannuation and PAYG.

A key objective of this role is to ensure appropriate risk management practices are in place and accurate and efficient Payroll processing.

Some of the key functions of this role include.

  • Payroll processing including proactive follow ups to meet multiple deadlines
  • Accurately maintain Payroll data, records and reports
  • Adherence to legislation and effective management of risks in Payroll processes
  • Provide technical advice and solutions for sometimes complex Payroll matters
  • Production and review of Payroll/EOM reports ensuring checks and balances done
  • Assist with year end audit and Payroll processing spot checks as necessary
  • Accurately maintain Payroll data, records and reports
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to our internal and external stakeholders
  • Support Process Improvements to drive Payroll efficiency

You
To be successful in this role, the following qualities and experiences will be considered favourably

This includes:

  • A minimum of 2 years practical experience in Australian Payroll
  • Chris 21/I Chris Payroll system knowledge (Desirable)
  • Experience and knowledge in Australian Regulatory environment, Single Touch Payroll, Payroll Reporting and Awards
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing and flexible team environment
  • Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders with ease and positivity
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong customer focus excellent communicator, written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Construction industry experience desirable
