You will be joining an established, family-owned business with over 40 years trading history.
The business successfully delivers a range of different projects within civil construction to a variety of clients including local shires, tier one miners and other private clients.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Provide support and direction on all HSE related matters.
- Assist with incident management, risk mitigation, injuries and return to work management.
- Supervise construction activities providing advice to minimise risks and ensure compliance with OHS legislation, established workplace rules and the HSE Management Plan.
- Conduct health and safety inductions for new employees.
- Be the key implementer of HSEQ strategies and the focal point for any related queries.
- Coordinate and contribute to regular prestart safety meetings to drive continuous improvement of HSE processes and procedures.
- Collate materials for toolbox talks, HSErelated meetings and prestarts.
- Schedule intermittent auditing of ISO accreditations to ensure continuous compliance.
- Liaise with Project Manager to discuss ways to implement Work, Health and Safety systems.
- Continuously encourage and promote a "safetyfirst" culture in the workplace.
Essential criteria:
- 2+ years experience in a HSE Advisory position.
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety are advantageous.
- Previous experience within the civil construction sector.
- Proven Risk Management Services experience.
- Strong knowledge of HSE practices and current legislation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications.
