  • Support execution of field management and cargo off-take on export tankers

PURPOSE:


Conducts marine control activities on board Prelude FLNG and provides maritime support for field control, safe and efficient marine activities at Prelude FLNG.


The position shall ensure safe, efficient, and professional maritime competency is exercised and delivered during the operations associated with the field management of Offshore Supply Vessels and other specialist activities and LNGC/LPGC/Condensate tankers programmed to off-take hydrocarbons from the Prelude FLNG, whilst ensuring that the requirements of Shell's Transportation Manual Maritime Standards (TMMS) are upheld and in accordance with the guidance contained in the Marine Process Model.


SCOPE:


As Offloading Control Room Marine Lead, supporting in safe execution of field management and for cargo off-take on export tankers.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Support the safe execution of all Ship / Terminal interface operations in accordance with company and industry guidance (e.g. ISGOTT / SIGTTO) as appropriate.
  • Support stakeholders on Prelude FLNG to ensure good coordination and effective execution of marine activities.
  • Provide proactive Marine operational awareness of activities on board Prelude to coordinate
- day to day Marine work scopes.

  • Offtake prearrival checks are completed in good time to ensure readiness for offtakes. Any faults/ inability to confirm readiness to be raised at appropriate level, to ensure readiness.
  • Focal point for communication with ISV, PSV, MPSV. Liaise with Prelude Helo Admin, ECR, CCR, Services, Maintenance and Production during planned and unplanned operations.
  • Monitor the weather parameters constantly ensuring operations are within operational parameters for wind, sea, waveheight, and lightning to meet Prelude Manual Of Permitted Operations (MOPO) requirements.
  • Maintain oversight on supply vessels operational status (DP status etc) and ensure that support vessel operations are conducted within acceptable operational requirements with ASOG/MOPO requirements for each vessel.
  • Maintain interface with Darwin Offshore Supply Base (DOSB) and Onshore Marine ops to ensure safe execution Cargo Operations and wet bulk transfers such as pot water, fuel and MEG bunkering
  • Engage with stakeholders such as Marine Services Coordinator, Materials Coordinator, vessel scheduler etc. to ensure that all marine aspects of Offshore supply as well as specialist operations are monitored.
  • Responsible for preparing on daily basis a Cargo and Ballast plan considering LNG, LPG and Condensate Run down, Cargo transfer and other activities on Prelude including the testing and operation of Loading Computer.
  • Support the Terminal Team in ensuring all equipment is available for use.
  • Support the terminal team in preparing documentation and equipment for the following offtake by ensuring the Pre-Offtake checklist is completed for each offtake tanker.
  • Responsible for engagement with stakeholders and developing timelines for all Condensate / LPG / LNG offtake operations and presenting to Terminal Coordinator for review prior to issue.
  • Ensure that all maritime incidents and near misses are reported and recorded in accordance with Shell Australia Investigate & Learn Procedure.
  • Support the Marine Assurance Coordinator with Level 1 Causal Learning Investigations for marine events within own sphere of operations and support as requested in any further investigation of the same.
  • Ensure operational processes under own control are executed in a timely manner.
  • Attend daily all applicable daily meetings such as Services Team Meeting, Morning Prestart operations meeting, chair the Marine Field Management call engaging as appropriate on all marine related issues.
  • Support Prelude emergency response teams on marine related incidents or issues and provide input and training as appropriate to any maritime related emergency response exercise.
  • Support as appropriate with terminal compliance and internal HSSE audits, industry and site selfassessments.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all training requirements for the role.
  • Support Terminal Coordinator to manage unplanned / unforeseen events.
