What's the Role:


You will be responsible for designing, drafting, implementing and promoting the company's compliance framework to ensure the fulfillment of Bradken's compliance responsibilities, in collaboration with Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) and consistent with HCM group compliance requirements.

As part of Bradken's Legal, Compliance & Internal Audit team you will support Bradken's risk management program. In collaboration with our insurance broker you will support the effective transfer of risk to insurers. You will work closely with the Legal team on any associated legal issues.


You will manage complaints received through the Whistleblower line, reports to Bradken's compliance registers (covering gifts, conflicts of interest and contact with competitors), and export control screening requests.


You will provide support and training to other departments, to promote Bradken's compliance and risk management frameworks across the organisation.

You will collaborate with our communications team to maintain an effective communication program for the organization in connection with compliance and risk (including insurance).


Overall, you will provide broad support to the Legal Compliance & Internal Audit team in addressing governance, risk and insurance issues.


As a
Key Technical Criteria:


  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally a law degree
  • Significant experience in compliance and governance, ideally in a global company in mining, energy, construction, or manufacturing or a similar industry
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Exceptional skills in drafting policies, standards and procedures

This role is based in Brisbane or Newcastle.
