IMMEDIATE - Rescue Workshop Technician ( Electrical background months - NSW Government Project
- Role
:Rescue Workshop Technician: - 25 March to 20 September 202 Parttime : work 23 days per week
Experience : In Fire stations / Rescue logistics advantageous
Primary purpose of the role
Service maintain and repair Client equipment used on appliances and at emergency incidents to ensure operational effectiveness.
Key accountabilities
- Undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of specialised equipment
Conduct pre-operational checks of all new and repaired equipment prior to despatch to
fire stations:
Maintain stock of spare parts, equipment and consumable items and assist in the receipt and dispatch of equipment and spare parts for the
Rescue Logistics:- Provide information on causes of damage to equipment and contribute to the research into the improvement of usage and/or stowage and to prevent damage where possible
- Input data into the
Purchasing and the Asset Management data base concerning delivery, receipt, despatch, service, and the repair of equipment
Key challenges
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, changing equipment requirements, policies, relevant legislation and operating procedures
- Identify and resolve faults in equipment returned for servicing
- Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance and repair standards for specialist equipment
