Global construction and engineering company are looking to hire a junior construction lawyer.

Description:

We are working with a global leader in the construction and engineering space. They are looking for a junior construction lawyer to join their high-performing, collaborative and fast-paced legal team.

Why is this a great role?

As a Legal Counsel, you will work as part of a well-trained, high performing team which handles exciting major projects in Australia. Globally, the legal team is made up of over 70 lawyers and they have a strong presence in the construction and engineering space.

You will have the confidence and skill to be a strong figure in the team and assist on many of the project negotiations. This role will provide learning opportunities in the construction space and allow you to develop your specialist skillset further. You will be offered excellent training and career development opportunities and be part of a high-performing and collaborative team that are based around Australia.

The General Counsel has excellent experience and is motivated to hire the right people that can bring long term success to the team, and wider business. They can offer the chance to work on some of the biggest projects in the country.

What type of person will be successful?

Admitted as a solicitor in Australia;
Between 2-4 years PQE in front-end construction matters;
Some in-house experience would be beneficial but not essential;
Excellent verbal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders;
Commercial mindset and a drive to deliver on high standards; and
A willingness to work hard and consistently learn new things.
