This role is responsible for the performance of assigned category spend portfolio managing the end to end lifecycle, including delivering and building pipeline, strategy development, sourcing and contract/supplier and stakeholder management, in line with the business plan to drive commercial value for the business over both short
- and medium-term horizons while also managing risks associated with their category.

The role will also help support the Head of Group Category and the Category Leadership team to manage the portfolio effectively to meet performance targets and manage risks, aligned to and interlocked with BU/Divisional/Country plans (e.g. Sourcing management, contract management, SRM, governance, value delivery, pipeline build, R2P integration).

What will your day look like


This role is accountable for:

Responsible for the performance of category spend portfolio, including delivering and building pipeline, strategy development, managing spend hygiene eg off contract spend, tail spend reduction, S2P performance
Help Build capability in team to utilize judgment to right size effort in meeting guidelines of policy and supporting processes and templates, in context of their category portfolio
Help manage business interlock with the Business to agree plans, pipeline and savings targets and progress to plan
Help Lead the team to collectively solve problems across Procurement as well as within Category Management to deliver to Procurement's performance targets
Develop comprehensive category plans that integrate business and corporate strategy, supported by appropriate digital enablers and category intelligence
Provide ongoing commercial advice on the execution requirements of assigned contracts/Master Services Agreement and support the Contract Owner with advice and support, inclusive of spend analytics, identification of scope creep and off-contract spend, and commercial KPI tracking/performance reporting
Support and coach suppliers and contract owners/OCMs to optimize supplier performance within the contract terms and help support additional value through improvement initiatives, or support to manage/rectify non performances to contract
Define buying channels that are globally documented and collaborate with the Work Design Team to ensure there is a stringent process in place to drive contract compliance and budget compliance
Drive down total cost of targeted goods and services with solutions that meet customer' and business need through proactive
Build trusted relationships with key Business and Functional stakeholders, and broker relationships for other teams who have stakeholders across the business
Help share bright spots and elevate Procurement brand with these Divisions/BU's/Country Leaders and across Procurement and Finance

Understanding of end to end procurement lifecycle management across Strategy, Source to Contract, Supplier Relationship Management through to Req. to Pay

The 'good to have' knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

Experience in a Category Management leadership role, managing a highly diverse groups of categories and associated contracts especially in Technology, Property, Professional Services and Travel.
