Procurement Specialist
Digga is Australia's leading manufacturer of Machinery attachments for the Earthmoving & Construction industry.

We require a proactive and analytical Procurement Specialist to partner with the Procurement team to develop, implement and enhance processes across all procurement functions.

You will be integral in selecting and evaluating all current and potential suppliers. You will have the ability to manage competing priorities and excel as a key member of the procurement team.

This is an interesting and challenging opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment for an accomplished, detail oriented individual to demonstrate their versatility and experience.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Purchasing of inventory needs to meet production orders and sales targets.
  • Prepare and process requisition and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Evaluate suitability of recommended suppliers and source alternate providers.
  • Undertake negotiations with suppliers to meet quality, quantity, cost, and delivery constraints.
  • Review and maintain accurate supplier pricing in database and monthly purchase requirements.
  • Optimize raw material inventory levels and supply processes.

To be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role ideally
  • Current purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to liaise with a variety of departments including Sales, Production, Warehouse and Engineering
  • An absolute can do attitude with the ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong excel and analytical skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Highly proficient in use of software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems including M3, SAP, MFG Pro or AX would be desirable.
