Reporting to the Head of Sales Performance, this position is responsible for the daily operational activity of their business unit to drive team engagement and performance.


This position contributes to the customer experience by managing team performance and development through feedback, coaching, and mentoring to Team Leaders.

Ultimately, the Sales Manager ensures resources are used properly and responsibly, and creates plans for the development and the improvement of the staff to meet agreed targets as well as prioritising activities to meet the department objectives.


  • Manage Team Leaders' Performance to optimise individual and team performance & development in line with the company performance development & improvement cycle.
  • Set team direction and goals and motivate staff to achieve them.
  • Inspire and motivate the wider team to exceed their KPIs, with coaching and development.
  • Provide training and development opportunities via Development Plans to maintain/improve skills, knowledge and capability.
  • Weekly (or as required) 1:1 coaching and feedback sessions with direct reports to support and develop skills, knowledge and capability.
  • Provide coaching, development & advice as required related to Sales Methodology, Industry knowledge & expertise, etc.
  • Ensure solutions/outputs meet business objectives.
  • Monitor budget and take corrective action where necessary by analysing data to identify ways to best deliver
  • Oversee the planning of recruitment and selection of sales teams and support the hiring Team Leaders as required.
  • Proactively lead and drive your own development with your direct leader.

The Successful Applicant:


  • 3 years experience in a similar or senior sales manager role
  • Exceptional business development capabilities.
  • Solid commercial acumen and ability to translate data.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, fostering personable relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and hunger for sales.
