Our purpose is to ensure we do the right thing by our customers, to build and sustain a trusting relationship with them.


The unit achieves this by focuses on the promises made to our customers across the broad and complex portfolio of Retail and Commercial Banking products.

In doing so, we fulfil our mission through the ongoing prevention and detection of "the unexpected" so that the customer experiences are seamless and reliable.

What will your day look like

We perform product analytics to detect and prevent "the unexpected" across the Retail and Commercial Bank product portfolio to drive continuous improvement and have a positive influence on the strategic change to banking systems, operations and product management.

We build continuous monitoring mechanism to proactively manage, prevent and detect product risks across the Retail and Commercial bank to drive action.

We upskill Product areas in "data analytics" to enable self-sufficiency in Product Analytics and Forensics capabilities.

We influence the ongoing evolution of Product Management and Risk Management Framework, Policy, Process and Procedure through our analytical endeavours into the "customer promise" across our product portfolio.


As a Product Forensics Data Analyst focused on the Retail and Commercial banking domain, you will bring extensive analytical and technical skills, business acumen and natural curiosity to enable the unit to deliver on a wide range of product investigations and analysis and support initiatives through valued insights.

What will you bring?

Some of the skills we are looking for are below, but don't worry if you don't have all of these as learning on the job is the way we work.

But back to some of the skills

  • An inquisitive mindset and can break down problems and plan out manageable work activities through Hypothesis Based Thinking or Structured Problem-Solving approaches.
Extensive development expertise in at least ONE of the following languages: PySpark, SQL or Python. However, one must be able to upskill into PySpark for investigative purposes on the job rapidly.

Experience working in the analytics field on the Hadoop Ecosystem and Spark or experience in conducting investigative analytics in a Teradata or SAS environment with a willingness to upskill.

Experience in the design of visualisation mechanisms and underlying toolsets (e.g. QlikSense, Power BI, and Tableau).
Understanding and demonstrated experience in general data concepts (e.g. entity relationships, data flow and manipulation) and data curation, transformation and processing practices.

Experience working in a high-paced delivery environment using agile practices and tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Testing Frameworks and procedures.

Self-Managed and accountable for delivery expectations and can adapt to changing priorities and ambiguity.

Has strong communication skills, appreciation for accuracy and attention to detail to assure quality standards in code, documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
