Key Accountabilities:


  • Manage/lead routine/medium/strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed
  • Administer routine contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional and constructive relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
  • Conduct operations within SAP Master Data, Vendor Maintenance, creation of the purchase order creation/amendment process (POCA) and general SAP duties as required.
  • Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team, including drafting and negotiating Contracts.
  • Deliver high quality procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management including sound ICT Category Management functions and administration activities.
  • Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with Department policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy.
  • Exercise a Procurement Delegation for sourcing activities validating that the procurement process undertaken has been in accordance with Department policies and procedures and the Queensland State Procurement Policy.
  • Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
  • Assist the procurement team by undertaking additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Manager and or Director.

Technical/Operational/Educational Experience:


  • Experience in SAP.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology and/or Queensland Information Technology Contracting Framework is highly regarded.
  • Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
