As a Sustainability Manager, Development, Transaction & Infrastructure, you will work on the delivery of the Sustainability Strategy by partnering with the Development, Transaction & Infrastructure teams to drive quantifiable, commercial value for Dexus.

How you will make an impact

The Sustainability Manager, Development, Transaction & Infrastructure will drive sustainability outcomes through:

Working with the Developments team embedding sustainable activity across our developments, including our approach to industry best practice benchmarking tools.
Developing and implementing our sustainability due diligence process in transactions which reflect our approach to responsible investment
Working closely with our Infrastructure business to support their execution of the sustainability strategy in relation to our transactions and infrastructure assets.

Main duties include:

This is a multifaceted role, where you will be liaising with a broad range of business stakeholders to build and deliver on agreed sustainability outcomes across our assets.

Key responsibilities include:

Work with development teams to embed and review the Dexus Sustainable Development standards.
Provide advice and guidance to key teams (strategy, transactions, treasury etc) to ensure sustainability/ESG is implemented in capital recycling and transactions programs.
Ensure risk and opportunities are included in business cases and financial assessments, using relevant processes and templates.
Support the Infrastructure team with the development and delivery of appropriate stewardship across infrastructure funds including education uplift,

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Building planning and design, Environmental sustainability or similar.

Key skills and Experience

Along with your passion and enthusiasm to drive sustainability best practice, you will bring a business-minded approach with demonstrated capability to influence outcomes and obtain information.

5 years+ experience in a related role
Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management and the ability to effectively negotiate outcomes.
Structured approach to work and the ability to manage multiple work streams commercially, identifying areas where prioritisation is needed.
Demonstrated experience delivering sustainability in developments, including indepth understanding of Green Star, WELL, NABERS and other industry tools.
Capability to influence sustainability change programs at a portfolio level.
Strong data and numerical skills
Excellent communication and storytelling with the ability to look through to the 'so what' of your stakeholder.
Recent, relevant experience in transactions and related due diligence with proven capacity to integrate sustainability is highly regarded
Knowledge of stewardship in infrastructure and models of ownership is highly regarded
