About the position
Council's Safer Communities Department is looking for multiple School Crossing Supervisors who will be responsible for providing supervision and ensuring the safety of children and the general public using school crossings in accordance with Council regulations and relevant legislation.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and providing safety for children and the general public using school crossings during the designated times.
- Contribute to the development of high quality customer service to all members of the public.
- Report and notify any School Crossings maintenance requests and OH&S and other safety issues.
You will be working between 45 and 60 minutes each morning and afternoon during the school term with crossings located across Frankston, Langwarrin, Seaford, Carrum Downs and Skye.
About you
- Previous experience working on a school crossing or in traffic management would be highly regarded.
- The ability to be available and attend shifts at short notice and have the flexibility to work across a number of locations.
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Adequate physical fitness and mobility.
