Salary ranges from $89,707 to $98,982 + super


The Assistant Project Officer performs project management and support activities for projects and programs across the Strategy, Design and Delivery Team at Greater Sydney Parklands.


Key Responsibilities


Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, meeting minutes, maintaining project documentation, financial monitoring and monitoring project of plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.


Input and report on SAP Finance to assist in the management of project budgets including reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices against project budgets.


Communicate with key internal and external stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committee consultations and presentations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.


Key Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge in capital program/project planning and delivery and budget monitoring.
  • Experience in managing electronic project documentation and associated finance and records management systems such as
  • SAP Finance; and advanced MS Word/Excel skills.
  • Awareness of government procurement policy and procedure, tendering procedures, governance and contract frameworks (such as Minor Works Contract and GC21).
