About the Opportunity

This role will contribute to delivering high quality programs and events, information and reader's advisory services across the library service ensuring the strategic objectives of the organisation are achieved.

What we can offer you

Permanent, Full time 70 hours per fortnight
Full time equivalent salary from $75, $87,357.41 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation

What we're looking for
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Science or equivalent
Current NSW Driver's Licence
Current Working with Children Check
Demonstrated experience in library and information services, collection development and digital resources relevant to the needs of children and youth
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, promoting, delivering, and evaluating effective and relevant library programs and events to children and youth to encourage literacy, creativity and lifelong learning.
Demonstrated understanding of the literacy needs of children and youth.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
High level customer focused approach to service delivery.
Demonstrated analytical, time management, organisational, and creative problemsolving skills.
Knowledge and ability to implement Equity and Work Health and Safety principles.
Must be fully vaccinated (minimum 2 doses) with an approved COVID19 vaccine and provide Council with evidence of vaccination, or an accepted certified medical contraindication. Council reserves the right to confirm the validity of contraindications in accordance with NSW Health guidelines, and to direct a Worker to undertake an independent medical examination in relation to the issuance of a medical contraindication certificate.
